What is PayPal and how does it work?

Last updated: July 29, 2018

PayPal is the most widely used payment platform in the world. With more than 200 supported countries, it allows commercial entities to accept payments from their customers globally.

LeapIN fully supports you using your PayPal Business account for invoicing and collecting payments from your clients and making payments to suppliers from your business bank account.

Direct API integration between LeapIN and PayPal enables us to synchronize your latest PayPal transactions and to display them on your LeapIN dashboard. This means that unlike with other payment gateways, it's not necessary to manually upload monthly statements when you use PayPal, an up-to-date transaction history is always available.

Please be aware that PayPal requires you to have a business bank account with an IBAN from the country where your company is registered. Because of this, it isn't possible to use PayPal in combination with a payment service provider account like Transferwise.
